Run your own numbers on print order margin and on the hours lost collecting favorites, using defaults drawn from how a working portrait studio actually operates.
Portrait studio pricing usually gets set once, early, when the studio was newer and the lab bill was smaller. Then paper costs move, framing costs move, card fees stay quietly in place, and the retail list never catches up. These two calculators exist to make those numbers visible in about a minute each.
Nothing is stored and nothing is emailed unless you ask. Change the defaults to match your own lab, your own average order and your own session count, then take the results into your next price list revision. Both tools assume a solo studio selling wall portraits and family sets, not a volume operation.

See how many hours a month disappear into favorites collected by email and into orders that had to be rebuilt because a file name was wrong.
Working document
Every step a solo portrait studio should hit between the pre session conversation and the framed print reaching a client wall.
Every solo portrait studio already does this arithmetic by hand, usually on the back of a lab invoice while the box is still open. You take the retail price of a 20x30, subtract the print, the mount and the frame, knock off what the card processor kept, then try to remember how many hours of retouching went into the four files the family actually ordered. The other sum is even rougher: nine messages about which frame had the letter jacket, six minutes each, times every senior session on the calendar. Both numbers get scribbled once, then thrown out with the packing slip, and next season you start from memory again.
So both tools sit here open, with no account and nothing stored after you close the tab. They are worth running even if you never send a proof gallery through us. A photographer who knows the profit left in one wall portrait order after the lab, the framing and the retouching can raise a price list with a straight face at the ordering conversation. A photographer who knows how many hours a year disappear into collecting favorites by email can decide whether that time is better spent shooting. Take the figures into your own price list revision, whatever software ends up building the order sheet for your lab.
A profit per print order figure and a year of proofing admin hours are only worth having if something changes after you read them. On a demo we take the inputs you just used, your session count and your lab share, and show where one proofing link removes the message thread that produced those hours. Bring your own numbers and we will work from them rather than from an imaginary studio.
